Sample Uses
|
  |
Press the Button Lots!
Use the space key or any other button repeatedly to run, climb or do all different kinds of things! The player can face any direction and can even compete with another for a "race". |
Do you feel like you're chasing after anyone? Or maybe you know someone who's a runner? Maybe someone who climbs things? |
 |
Avoidal/Collector
Use the keyboard or mouse to avoid all kinds of things. Objects can come in from outside the screen or bounce around off the edges. The opposite works as well; you can have the player collect lots and lots of things. The two can also be combined, collecting good things and avoiding bad. |
Someone on a diet would want to avoid bad foods; someone who thinks they've got great, cat-like reflexes might want to test them out. |
 |
Match Puzzle
Collect at least two of the same type of thing at once. You get more points for collecting more of the same thing at the same time, and you get bonuses for clearing x% of the entire board. Game ends when you don't make enough points to break the level end score requirement. |
Any puzzle lover would LOVE a game with customized images! Use different types of food, different colored CDs, gems, books, cars, anything! |
 |
Sliding Match
Multiple different images will scroll across the screen in varying directions. Your job is to click on two of them that match! You get points each time you clear matching images. |
Any puzzle lover would LOVE a game with customized images! Use different types of food, different colored CDs, gems, books, cars, anything! |
 |
Classic Memory
Click one card to flip it over, then click another. If they match, they vanish and you get points! You can select how many sets of images to make the player match, as well as run a time limit or simply let them go until everything is done. You can also use the cards as a cover for a background image. |
Use the cards as reminders of dates you've had, or things you both love, then as your loved one reveals the background image, show off "I love you" or "Please marry me!" |
  |
Catch the Falling Stuff!
Use the keyboard to move the player back and forth, catching things as they fall and avoiding others. There are two different styles here; Going Bananas allows you to have characters from the top drop things, while the Greed Game simply has them randomly fall from the sky. |
Well, I guess if you know someone who's greedy... Or a horder... Or collects any particular type of thing! |
 |
Do/Do NOT Click the Button!
These are absolutely classics in the world of flash games, and you can do it either way: click the button over and over and over to continue on, essentially having a one-way conversation with the button; or don't click the button, still having that one-way conversation. Either way, things really mix up as you play. See the sample for a great example of the “DON'T” click. |
This is an absolutely great way to communicate with someone. Oh, and you can also drive someone absolutely mad ;) It preys on the human curiosity of "something good must be coming eventually!" |
 |
Mad-Lib Alikes
Make one (or more) stories that the player can create by answering prompts. You can use simple “noun”, “verb” etc, or take a cute from Make a Story and be more specific. |
A great way to make a surprise proposal or letting someone know how you feel... Simply make the book title something like “Something I've Wanted to Tell You” or “Ssshhhh, It's a Secret!” |
 |
Classic Quiz!
You get a question with up to four possible answers. Make as few or as many questions as you'd like! |
This game is great for all kinds of uses! teachers, tutors or even students can use them to help learn/teach difficult topics or whatever else you can think of! |
 |
Hangman
The classic game of hangman of course! The possibilities are endless! Make as many or few words/phrases as you'd like. You can even force the player to play through them in a certain order. |
What a surprise it'd be if your significant other were simply playing, say, four normal hangman phrases, then the last was “Will you marry me?” |
 |
Word Hunt
Find the words in the randomly-generated field of letters. Either create lists of hints or of the words themselves to find. You can use anywhere from 1 to 10 words/phrases up to 14 letters long each. |
Excellent for learning new spelling words! |
